Branka on the Maryland Experience:
"...For me, Maryland is where it all started. I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come to America and play in the most competitive basketball environment possible, while earning a great degree. Maryland, to me, was an endless opportunity that I can say today, is the reason why I am where I am today. In addition to giving me the academic foundation that lead to my PhD, I made friends for life.
My teammates from back when I played are, to this day, my closest and dearest friends - they truly are friends for life. Playing at Maryland taught me so much - I came here in 1996 as a young girl from Serbia and today, I'm a strong, confident and successful woman. I really wouldn't be here in Washington DC as Doctor Bogunovic if it wasn't for Maryland!"
