Katrina on her Experience at Maryland...

"...My experience at Maryland was both challenging and rewarding. I came to Maryland as an 18 year old kid from Florida and the Women's Basketball Program became my family. The coaches and players taught me about hard work and dedication and what it means to be a part of a team. The head coach pushed me to reach my potential as a basketball player, a student and an adult. She didn't settle for less or allow me to be limited by my own perception of what my abilities were. I was fortunate to compete at both the national and international level while at Maryland, and I received a great education in the process..."

"...When I left Maryland I felt a sense of pride in all that I had accomplished as an individual and as a team member. I left with a high level of confidence to tackle the real world. A key thing I developed at Maryland was a value system and work ethic that is still with me today. In addition, I developed a caring network of coaches, teammates and alumni that have supported me in many ways in the years since I left Maryland."
